The Frankie Shop's cult boilersuit is finally available in the UK |

Born in the Big Apple, it's only right that new brand-on-the-block The Frankie Shop should be a key player in the New York Fashion Week scene.

Its cult Linda boilersuit has been spotted on various street stylers this week at the SS20 shows. But, we're guessing this isn't the first you've seen it: the Linda has been making an appearance all over Instagram for the past six months and it's not hard to see why. During what feels like an everlasting renaissance of the boilersuit, The Frankie Shop's iteration has managed to stand out from the crowd.

How? Its directional take on the trend focuses on exaggerating the original utilitarian details: oversized cargo pockets that disrupt the simple silhouette, a D-ring fastening belt, generous pleats and wide hems (that influencers have either been rolling, or tucking into their tie-up sandals and lace-up boots).

When catwalk trends trickle down from high-end to the high street, as always, the diversification means a weakening of distinctive features – until what was once a hero look, feels overdone and watered down.

The Frankie Shop has bucked the trend with its Linda boilersuit. Spotted on the likes of Pernille Teisbaek, Erika Boldrin, Yoyo Cao and Linda Tol at Paris Fashion week, the one-piece was a huge hit back in March. It subsequently re-appeared in Germany, Milan and Copenhagen in the months after and still feels just as fresh right now in New York.

So UK-based fans will be pleased to know that, after previously only being available on the brand's website, the Linda has finally dropped on Net-a-Porter.

It's pretty affordable, too. Both the ecru and khaki shades are £205, which is well worth the investment. The hardy cotton-blend fabric means its low-maintenance, the streetwear connotations make it ideal for everyday wear and yet its utilitarian drama is statement-making enough for evening events.
