The see-now-buy-now conversation is just getting started, and while it remains to be seen if the entirety of the fashion structure will change, for now it's just interesting to see who is all in, who is steering clear and who is dipping a platformed-toe in these new waters. Prada is getting involved in the idea with two new bag styles from its Fall 2016 runway, walking today.
The hunting-inspired Pionnière bag is soft and rounded with a strap that references army uniforms, while the Cahier is reminiscent of ancient tomes, with bronze metal and leather details that bring to mind book bindings.
Both are just the sort of pieces Prada-lovers will fall for, and now they won't need to wait until the fall to have them, The Pionnière and the Cahier will be on sale online and in select Prada stores in Milan, Paris and London from February 26, arriving in New York City (Broadway, Madison, and Fifth Ave) from March 4.
