With Princess Eugenie announcing her engagement to Jack Brooksbank this week, news reporters around the world have been attempting to correctly pronounce the 27-year-old royal's name - with varied success.
From 'you-jenny' to 'you-jay-nee' - the correct pronunciation is of course, 'YOO-juhnee', with the emphasis on the first syllable. In an interview with the Telegraph in 2008, Princess Eugenie herself clarified the matter:
"Whenever we used to meet foreign people who were struggling with it, my mum and I would help them by saying, 'It's like Use Your Knees'."
A great tip if you find yourself momentarily tongue-tied - or in dire need of correcting someone less well-informed about all things Royal than you.
