Dua Lipa can’t seem to stop wearing statement outerwear. In the past few days alone, the “Houdini” singer has worn three coats with some major retro motifs that might inspire your next trip to a vintage store.
On Wednesday, she stepped out in New York City in a black leather moto jacket featuring white trimming and navy and white panels. The jacket’s baggy silhouette and paneling details are subtly reminiscent of the colorblock windbreakers that dominated the ’80s. She paired the piece with low-rise wide-leg jeans, sparkling champagne pumps with a black toe cap, and a black quilted purse with a chain crossbody strap. Accessories included textured silver hoop earrings and an array of rings.

Later that night, Lipa channeled the ’50s in a long, elegant evening coat with a black jacquard print. The Grammy winner layered the boxy outerwear over a silky black dress and sheer black tights. As for her footwear, she opted for white socks with Maison Margiela’s heeled Tabi Mary Janes. She further accessorized with the same earrings she had worn earlier, plus a small croc-embossed black purse.

Finally, on Thursday night Lipa embraced the ’60s in a long quilted black tweed coat by Chanel, which was covered all over in delicate white speckles. The piece included a Peter Pan collar and ornate gold buttons down the center and on the sleeves. She wore the look with a black skirt, sheer black tights, and dark suede two-tone pumps.

Lipa had another major outerwear moment last month, when she stepped out in New York wearing a massive black fur coat by Entire Studios, which she layered over a see-through mesh dress with glittering fringe stripes.
